CASE CLOSED … what really happened in the 2001 anthrax attacks?

* It was only after Dr. Ivins’ death that the FBI acknowledged and confirmed he went to his group therapy session the evening of 9/17 on 10/8 — just as he had claimed. Why didn’t they corroroborate and acknowledge such a critical fact sooner?

By fax October 13, 2007, the FBI was advised that the billing program relating to the Fall 2001 group therapy sessions had crashed. The FBI did not have its computer forensics access the computer records — and confirm that Dr. Ivins attended the September 17, 2001 — until after Dr. Ivins’ suicide. The evening of September 17, 2001 was when the FBI imagined that Dr. Ivins mailed the Fall 2001 anthrax letters and so it should have been a priority.

Instead, the FBI prioritized swabbing Dr. Ivins for DNA (even though they already had his DNA from a cup) in order to test it on the semen-stained panties.

    Dr. Ivins then committed suicide.
