* USAMRIID’s Special Pathogens Branch would send out more b. anthracis than was requested, and lyophilize the excess amount to avoid temperature requirements in shipping

* Did the Pentagon allow its DARPA-funded Ames research to be infiltrated by a committed Salafist and convicted seditionist Ali Al-Timimi?

* Who was the figure working alone on the dried powder project at USAMRIID in Building 1412? Who did that person receive all direction on the project from?

IT WASN’T IVINS !!!

Pursuant to a lawfully authorized project,   Bruce Harper at Dugway sent John Ezzell virulent Ames that he made into a dried powder for legitimate biodefense testing.  Then USAMRIID DSD Special Pathogens Branch (Ezzell and Henchal) sent out to JHU/APL or UofA or IITRI in Chicago  or Aberdeen or Southern Research Institute (in Frederick).

But the shipment was diverted/ stolen by perpetrator/s unknown.

 .

To steal a Fed Ex package (even if just from the cold room near a RIID loading dock) is hardly difficult — relative to other challenges.

For example, researchers such as Ivins often would  prepare a package for shipping and then leave it overnight sitting there waiting to go out.

In any event, USAMRIID has not been able yet to produce evidence that the 340 ml. of virulent Ames sent by Bruce Harper on June 27, 2001 was irradiated — or that it was shipped back out from USAMRIID.

Dr. Ezzell was under the supervision of Erik Henchal, I expect.   Dr. Henchal was head of DSD’s Special Pathogens branch.

(Dr. Henchal this past week forbade me from ever asking him about the 340 ml. shipment of Ames and notes he did not take any official documents with him.).

He is now a chief honcho at the FDA regarding vaccines.

Dr. Henchal then was Deputy  Commander and Commander  during the key two or three years of the Amerithrax investigation.  Ivins thought it was an incredible coverup that only Bacteriology Division was swabbed for spores rather than DSD also.  Dr. Ezzell collected the sample for the FBI.  He had worked as part of the FBI’s HMRU unit testing powders since 1996 alongside some of FBI’s Amerithrax scientists.  Dr. Ezzell or his assistant threw out Ivins’ submitted sample in February 2002.  When I first called Dr. Ezzell in 2009 he straightforwardly said that the FBI was likely wiretapping his phone. 

I think that John Ezzell, in a filmed interview at a public conference,  forthrightly answered all my questions.   I just think I didn’t ask the right questions.  He then had a heart attack during the break after questioning was called short when he showed signs of distress.  I did not know about the other large shipments of virulent Ames from Dugway in August 2000 and June 2001.   Prior to the break in questioning, I had only asked him about a withdrawal of 40 ml. from Ivins Flask 1029 in late August 2000.  I did not know about Bruce Harper’s shipments of a large quantitiy of Ames grown from the same seed stock as Flask 1029 (Flask 1030).
