CASE CLOSED … what really happened in the 2001 anthrax attacks?

* Ivins calculated that it would take 300 ml of Dugway spores to make the mailed anthrax – he said that amount of spores would be noticed if it went missing.

Will the FBI ever produce an Ivins or other section from the memo by Richard Lambert to FBI Director Mueller that addresses this?

At the November 5, 2001 meeting that included David WIlson, James Burans (US Navy) and John Ezzell (USAMRIID/FBI), did the meeting attendees know about the June 27, 2001 340 ml. shipment of Ames from Dugway?

The FBI’s narrative will never withstand the production of emails of John Ezzell, James Burans and David Wilson …

Did any of the Attendees at the December 7, 2001 meeting on Amerithrax know about the 340 ml. shipment of b. anthracis Ames on June 27, 2001?

You can see the biographies of the assembled experts — an impressive array of expertise indeed. There appears to have been no one representing Dugway or Battelle, which operated Life Sciences at Dugway. So is it that no one knew about the shipment? Just John Ezzell (USAMRIID), James Burans (Navy) and David Wilson (FBI)?

Attendees, included distinguished scientists from University of Rochester, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, United States Navy (James Burans), National Science Foundation (Acting Director, Divsion of Chemistry), University of Maryland (Catherine Fenselau), Sandia National Laboratory, Los Alamos National Laboratory (Christian Hassell), Indiana University, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Oak Ridge Laboratory, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, Oak Ridge Laboratory, WINPAC, Chief Science and Technology Advisor, Department of Justice, National Research Counsel, FBI, and Director of the Board on Chemical Sciences and Technology (BCST).

Who told Ivins on December 17, 2006 not to tell anyone about the missing sample(s) but that justification for the missing sample(s) could be provided if necessary. A December 17, 2006 email explained who in the chain of command gave the order.

Who told Ivins that everything was under control with the FBI? How did that advice work out for Ivins when he was left to shoulder the blame for the missing sample(s)?

If you haven’t seen the unredacted emails, how can you be at all confident of your theory on Amerithrax? If you haven’t seen the staggering amount of exculpatory information that former lead Amerithrax investigator Richard L. Lambert is being intentionally withheld, how can you have any confidence in your theory of Amerithrax?

You need to put your theory of Amerithrax aside and join this blog and demanding transparency and accountability by the Department of Defense. The DOD Review was guided by the former FBI officials who have played hide-the-ball in Amerithrax. Transparency and accountability should not merely be a slogan for press spokespersons and other figureheads concerned about funding and not the truth.

Or do you want the Senate Finance Committee to get the unredacted emails first?

Noah Shachtman writes: Did the Anthrax Attacks Kickstart the Iraq War? … Congressman Holt is quoted in Shachtman’s article saying: The anthrax attacks “made it possible to manufacture the argument that there was WMD in Iraq and links to Al-Qaeda” … LMW adds: Here are extracts from my novel CASE CLOSED regarding the potential linkage of “Saddam’s anthrax” to the invasion of Iraq

Anonymous states … This DARPA budget document shows that DoD was experimenting with microencapsulated pathogens in 2000-2001 … Bruce Ivins could not have produced such a dry anthrax powder that was microencapsulated

The CIA’s detection of the Ames strain of b. anthracis in Afghanistan was discarded by the FBI due to different testing results, sampling procedures, and methodology used by the FBI and IC (“Intelligence Community”)
