CASE CLOSED … what really happened in the 2001 anthrax attacks?

* Why did someone remove page 10 from all copies of the 2001 USAMRIID Historical Report? The Commander’s assistant could locate it on the computer in 5 minutes.

The page has been located by the ever-efficient people helping to fulfill documents requests. Under a new rule, only those below the rank of COL are redacted.

US Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) is the Army’s one-stop source for intelligence and analytic overwatch. It provides the intelligence needed to go out and catch bad guys. The better intelligence they have the more bad guys they catch — the more lives they save.

COL Eitzen, who left USAMRIID in 2002, gave me the name of someone to call. I also gave the number to the wonderful FOIA person who has worked so hard on such a wide variety of documents. It often is just a matter of knowing the right person — the person to ask who can lay their hands on a document. It’s a lot like asking your spouse if she knows where you left the keys. Although the library there would have a copy I am pretty sure that has already been checked. So if they do not readily see a copy with the page, I am urging that someone go to the computer file and reprint the page.
