CASE CLOSED … what really happened in the 2001 anthrax attacks?

* Records Were Not Kept Of Transfer Of Ames From RMR 1029 To Researchers At USAMRIID Prior To ’02 And It Is Mistaken Assumption That A Perpetrator (Or Innocent Accessory Before The Fact ) Would Keep A Sample To Submit To FBI ; They Would Be Highly Motivated To Throw Away Any Evidence That Would Trace Back

At page 139 of his recent book “Recounting the Anthrax Attacks”, former FBI agent Scott Decker, notes that Bruce Ivins, when queried by Agent Steele, explained that “7737” was the same as Flask 1029 — and Ivins recalled that Pat Fellows had prepared the submissions to the FBI. (p. 139) “7737” was how it was registered in Building 1412.

So at page 139 Decker makes clear that the FBI was confused and did not realize that the Flask was known by two different names. That explains, in small part, why his briefing to Montooth — about how it was only kept in Building 1425 — was so wildly wrong. (And, again, Henry Heine has given excellent interviews on this topic, based on first-hand knowledge) about Flask 1029 Ames being in 1412. But nothing excuses the confusion continuing up to US Attorney Taylor’s briefing after Ivins death — when Taylor falsely claimed that Flask 1029 was only ever kept in Building 1425. The significance you ask? Well, 300 with access — and that is just at USAMRIID alone — rather than merely 100. Taylor’s claim that everyone had been eliminated was specious on its face — given that the supplier of Ames did not have to be the same person as the processor , and the processor did not have to be the same person as the mailer. But it was made all the worse because Scott Decker and US Attorney Taylor (in briefing the US public) was totally butchering the facts. The Ames from Flask 1029 was throughout Building 1412. Even in the FBI’s lab run by Ezzell and Abshire, with an FBI Agent microbiologist on full-time duty, helping collect samples! That FBI Agent did not even submit the same in Ezzell/Abshire’s lab that was from Flask 1029! And Decker, meanwhile, incredilbly, is faulting for Ivins for submitting a sample using a flawed technique. On top of all that, someone in the Ezzell/Abshire lab threw out Ivins’ sample submitted in February 2002! (Even though others submitted on home-made slants were not thrown out.) There should be a Congressional probe all right.

It is the FBI scientists, not Ivins, who acting suspeciously and have grievous conflicts of interest. It was the scientist working for the FBI, JE, who made a dried powder out of Flask 1029 — not Bruce Ivins.

Then just because Scott couldn’t figure out how Yazid Sufaat got virulent Ames (see FBI and CIA testing from AMX Weekly Science Updates — and not privy to the Al Qaeda anthrax investigation — he made all sorts of incorrect inferences and assertions about Ivins. Leading to his suicide.

“Go Blue!”, Scott. Not “Code Blue!”

An Ivins Theory was just a new variant of the Hatfill Theory — by some of the same folks, most notably Scott Decker.

    The author writes:

“This strain was derived from diseased cow in 1972 in the state of Iowa …”

In a word, no. It was from a diseased cow from Texas, about a decade later.

    But then the author writes:

“In the 1980s despite the UN Convention prohibiting the production of biological weapons, I observed a strange activation of military intelligence services planning the development of biological weapons in Asian countries. While I was working as a researcher at the Gamaleya Scientific Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences (http://biistate.net/docs/profiles/gamaleya.pdf), I received an unexpected visit of specialists from North Korea desiring to receive strains of anthrax. Shortly thereafter, specialists from Iran visited the Gamaleya Institute with the same goal [11].

The Russian military microbiologists have the Ames strain of anthrax available. The military scientists continuing to research chemical vaccines for anthrax had developed a vaccine in the 1980s that was effective against the anthrax strain the US was using in certain components of their biological weapons.”

Comment: Both Ken Alibek and Serge Popov would agree with this. Ken has told me that Russia had Ames and Serge has said that they could obtain whatever they want from Detrick just by submitting a request to the intelligence service.

He says, “And then after 9/18, I was responsible for the public health of all Americans, responsible for preventing any attack using weaponized medicines like the plague, like smallpox, like anthrax, like tellurium.”

The Huffington Post is showing the clip.

Thompson spokesman Brian Nemoir says in a statement to other media outlets, “as a point of clarification, 9/18/01 is in reference to the anthrax attacks on specific members of congress and varied members of the news media. In-total, it is believed that seven letters were mailed containing anthrax spores, contaminating 22 people of which five people died. As Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services, Tommy Thompson lead the efforts to protect our nation from these bio-threats.”

      USPS Stages Mock Anthrax Drill

      By Mike Corbin
      6/26/2012

The U.S. Postal Service in Indiana is preparing staffers for biohazardous emergencies.

The Main Processing and Distribution Center in Indianapolis is holding mock exercises today. They feature police, fire and health department workers who respond to an anthrax emergency. USPS Spokesperson Mary Dando says the exercise harkens back to 9/11 when two postal workers lost their lives due to anthrax.
