CASE CLOSED … what really happened in the 2001 anthrax attacks?

* In an Oct 5, ’01 email among the materials provided by USAMRIID this week, Dr. Ivins explains the results 3 days after the challenge of rabbits in the formaldehyde experiment; the word “rabbits” has never passed the prosecutor’s lips

This email showing that dozens of rabbits were dying in the B3 was withheld by the FBI and DOJ for years. It is totally inconsistent with AUSA Lieber’s false claim that Dr. Ivins had no reason to be in the lab and did not have an animal experiment scheduled for that first week in October 2001. It is unrealistic that the FBI did not know about the experiment and this email because FBI Agent Ed Montooth and others have explained that they reviewed Dr. Ivins emails from the period. GAO should be interviewing the prosecutors and investigators to find out who knew about this email.

The investigators and prosecutors, of course, were on notice that Dr. Ivins was in the lab in early October 2001 in connection with the rabbits being challenged. They certainly would not deny reviewing his email for the relevant period.

They just have avoided discussing it. Their claim that he had no reason to be in the lab is contradicted by the documents.
