CASE CLOSED … what really happened in the 2001 anthrax attacks?

* How had the name of the Egyptian visiting Dr. Bruce Ivins been spelled on the log of foreign scientists visiting USAMRIID? The log should be obtained under FOIA.

On the B3 log, the name was spelled wrong. Who wrote the name?

I’ve been going to the WCNY spelling bee for the past seveal years. Here I am last month.

I fully appreciate how difficult it is to spell surnames originating in a foreign language — indeed, with respect to boolean searching using google, it helps to alternate how you spell them. With respect to databases, however, failing to read someone’s handwriting accurately — or the alternate or misspelling of a name — can make all the difference. One foolish mistake and you are out of the bee — or have screwed up the biggest investigation in history.
