CASE CLOSED … what really happened in the 2001 anthrax attacks?

* Absent any evidence Dr. Bruce Ivins had made a dried powder (such as the FBI anthrax expert had done for DARPA using the Ames from the Flask 1029) or evidence that Dr. Ivins had mailed the anthrax letters, the FBI in its “Ivins Theory” relies much on the fact that Dr. Ivins took a book from college sororities a quarter century earlier. In January 2008, Dr. Ivins explained that his visits to the various sororities were made when his wife would go away for a weekend or some period of time.

A couple people have submitted FOIAs for a copy of the 9/17/2001 email Bruce sent to Mara Linscott to confirm through the document what time it was sent. (The content was already disclosed but the time has not been established through a document).

The DOJ claimed in its Investigative Summary that it was sent from his work computer but USAMRIID, after careful checking, disputes that.

It’s been confirmed, moreover, that he attended his usual group therapy session on evening of the September 17. The mailing was made sometime after 5 p.m. and before 8 a.m. on 9/18. Dr. Ivins arrived at work around 7 a.m.
