* DXer … the key premise of the DOJ’s Ivins Theory — unexplained time in the B3 — was always unmitigated crap

Driven to suicide, Dr. Bruce Ivins may be getting closer to a well-deserved posthumous exoneration

DXER’s recent comment …

I‘ve previously uploaded the 302 interview statement indicating that it would take 1 1/2 – 2 hours to autoclave a dead animal and that checking on the animals would be a one-person job that would take a couple hours.

Thus, the key premise of the DOJ’s Ivins Theory — unexplained time in the B3 — was always unmitigated crap.

The AUSA specifically refused to provide these (and related) pages under FOIA.

The FBI’s narrative was always a crock and would not have passed the giggle test if these pages had been produced at the time of US Attorney Taylor’s dog and pony show.

Questions:

  • Why would the scientists brief the matter in mid-August 2008 without releasing these pages?
  • Why weren’t these pages provided to the NAS?
  • Why does the DOJ even now drag its feet in producing other lab notebook pages such as the Lab Notebook 4010 and others that it removed from USAMRIID?
  • One question I would have for the investigators, scientists and prosecutors is this:  how many of them have even SEEN these pages?

LMW COMMENT …

Here’s the same comment I’ve been posting since early 2009. Maybe, just maybe, the day is coming when it will be clear which of these three disgraceful options is actually true.

The FBI’s publicly presented case against Dr. Ivins is clearly bogus: no evidence, no witnesses, an impossible timeline, science that proves innocence instead of guilt. So what really happened? And why doesn’t the FBI offer America a credible story?

As regular readers of this blog well know, I can imagine only 3 possible “actual” scenarios …

  1. The FBI has more evidence against Dr. Ivins but is, for some undisclosed reason, withholding that evidence … POSSIBLE BUT NOT SO LIKELY
  2. The FBI, despite the most expensive and extensive investigation in its history, has not solved the case and has no idea who prepared and mailed the anthrax letters that killed 5 Americans in 2001 … EVEN LESS LIKELY
  3. The FBI knows who did it (not Dr. Ivins) but is covering up the actual perpetrators, for undisclosed reasons …THE MOST LIKELY SCENARIO
