Comment: If there were monitoring, the prosecutors would never be allowed to hear it or learn any content. But that doesn’t necessarily resolve the factual and legal issue presented.

I hope someday to use a model submarine to look for things underwater in the Erie Canal (which has an average depth of only 14 feet). Where I’m camping there is a barge and dredging equipment. Canal authority won’t let them dredge near a certain bridge because of the dead bodies and weapons that it is expected that they would find.

Iyman Faris, according to his wife, would spend hours reading about ultra light aiplanes with small engines. The direction to do so came directly from KSM. Source: Newsweek, The Enemy Within.

Working for FBI
On March 19 2003, Faris was visited by two FBI agents and an anti-terror officer, who confronted him with testimony from Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, and the results of an intercepted telephone call. Faris was reportedly friendly and accomodating, and agreed to let the agents search his apartment the following day.
He was then granted a deal to work as a double agent, reporting to the FBI. He was ordered to leave his Ohio home, and stay at a safe house in Virginia from which he would appear to continue discussions with his contacts, reporting the information back to the authorities[

Dang, when Dr. Hatfill’s lawyer suggested the same thing, they called in the dogs. (If there is a delay in conducting a search, there can be loss of critical evidence). Had the FBI already conducted a secret FISA search?)
Did Agent Lambert, the former head of Amerithrax who now works for Battelle, consider Iyman Faris in connection with a role in Amerithrax … living near Battelle in Columbus and working with anthrax plotter KSM?
Iyman later recanted and said he had been just been gathering info on KSM for a book he was writing.
GAO should interview Agent Lambert about his letter to Director Mueller about the perils of compartmentalization.

DXer’s presentation at this conference where Attorney Kemp is speaking on how Dr. Ayman’s plan to use anthrax against United States targets was in fact brought to fruition in the Fall 2001 anthrax mailings.
